| Here are a few pictures from Hot Import Nights - Night Shift - Las Vegas 2007. The RX-7 placed 5th in the 2 Door Street Open Category (not bad considering there were a lot of cars in this category).

| This is a late update: The CF RX-7 won 2nd place at Extreme Autofest in Las Vegas Nevada on July 14th in the Mazda Category.

| It's time to get rid of the suspension clunk coming from the rear end of the 7. We have a new set of toe links, trailing arms, and a new set of pillow ball bushings to replace the stock, worn our components.

| After our session on the dyno, we realized that the stock ignition system was not up to the task of running more than 12psi of boost. With that in mind, we decided to install an HKS Twin Power ignition amp. This should allow the car to produce more than 12psi without ignition break up. While working on the install, we also finished up the alcohol/methanol injection kit complete with an outside tap injector and steel braided lines. Next time we tune the car, this will be a nice upgrade to boost the HP numbers and maintain safety after higher boost levels.

| We finally got the CF-RX7 to the dyno on May 6th 2007. It was tuned by world famous rotary tuner, Steve Kan. Steve did a great job, and on low boost was able to squeeze out 305HP from the stock twin turbos. We have a lot more room to play with, however, the car is on the stock ignition system, and is in desparate need of an amp. When the boost was turned above 12psi, the spark was blown out and the engine would shake violently. So for now, 305HP on 12psi is where we are at on pump gas. Dyno graphs below:

| Here are better quality pictures of the car as it currently sits. Next on the agenda: Window Tint and better camera skills :) Enjoy the pics

| THE RX-7 IS RED AGAIN!!! Another quick camera phone picture from the inside of the spray booth. The car should be back in our possession next week.

| The RX-7 is ready for paint! The car is 100% prepped and ready for primer / paint. There were a few hold ups and minor details that required my attention before the bodyshop could proceed. The site skirts were not fitting very well on the top portion that hangs over the door stills, so they decided to modify the skirts a bit and cut the top portion off. This required quite a bit of fiberglass work. But in the end, the car is now ready for the final step of the process.

| Today I went down and snapped a few pictures of the progress so far. They just started working on the car yesterday, and it should be 100% prepped for paint within a few days. I decided to paint it Ferrari Red.

| A few updates today:
The RX-7 has finally gone in for paint!!! We dropped it off today at Super Stripes in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are going to let us take pictures of the entire process from beginning to end, so we'll be posting them here as it comes along.
The second big update is that the wheels have arrived, and they look great. When the car is back from paint we'll slap them on and do a photoshoot. Stay tuned

| Another quick update:
The RX-7 is going in for paint at the end of this week if all goes as planned. Unfortunately the car has been put on hold (otherwise) the last few weeks due to overwelming ammounts of work and starting back up at college. I plan to work on it more in the coming weeks. I finally finished the alcohol/water injection setup, so I'll have to take another trip to the dyno soon for tuning. Overall the car is running well, and should make some decent power with more boost/timing and the water/alky injection.
On a site note, I finally picked out a set of rims for the 7. We went with a set of 18x8 and 18x9 ASA AR1 rims. ASA is a BBS wheel brand. They came out to a total of 22 pounds in the front, and 23 pounds in the rear. Not too bad, and nothing to worry about since these wheels will not be used for racing at the track. Pictures of the rims on another RX-7 can be found here: http://carforums-net.com/showthread.php?t=35250

| Just a quick update:
This last weekend we spent a lot of time on the dyno with the RX-7. We were able to take it from 269hp at the wheels to 300 at the wheels, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. The intake air temps at the dyno were around 150 degrees after over 15 pulls we decided to call it quits until it cools off. These pulls were made at around 13psi of boost in Las Vegas heat and elevation, so overall it was a success. The car feels great on the street so far.

| After going to the dyno and putting down horrible numbers, I've decided to take a break from the performance aspect for now and work on getting the car ready for its possible SEMA Debut. Slowly but surely over the next few weeks the car will make a transformation with new paint, new body pieces, wheels, and other dress up goodies. Below you can see a few of the new dress up pieces, including the 99 Spec front end, RX-8 rotary shift knob, and the Mazdaspeed oil cap.

| The RX-7 has been running strongly the last few weeks. It has received a few more performance goodies, and some sound upgrades to make driving a bit more enjoyable. The performance upgrades include a new fuel pump and 1300cc secondary injectors. The drivetrain was also upgraded with a new transmission brace and differential brace to eliminate wheel hop and transmission movement. No more missed gears for this RX-7 :)
For the Sound system, we went with a JVC deck, new stock replacement bose speakers, and a 10 inch MTX sub woofer in the rear powered by a 250 watt MTX amp.

| SEMA is approaching, and that means it is time to make the FD CF RX-7 into a bad ass show car. This has been an expensive but fun week, picking the exterior setup for the RX-7. Pictures of some of the exterior and interior choices are below:

| After several hours of editing timing maps, we finally got a safe map made up for the RX-7. Once the maps were loaded in, we hooked up the Tech Edge Wide Band O2 sensor and logger and took it out for a road tuning session. The car runs strong especially from a 40MPH roll. The a/f ratios were adjusted to around 11.8 with 10psi of boost. Once we install the bigger fuel system into the car, the boost will be turned up to 14-15psi and tuned for the track. At this HP level the car should make well over 350 HP at the wheels.

| The RX-7 lives! After several weeks of downtime due to the last project, the car is finally up and running again. The newer turbos, intercooler, mid pipe, and other goodies that were added have really made this car solid. It drives 100% better now, and the power at only 9 pounds of boost is incredible. We are leaving the boost below 10 until we have a chance to install a fuel pump and bigger injectors. Pictures of the engine bay, interior, and exterior below. (We still have polishing to do for the alternator and water pump)
